Outreach Program organised under ANRF Scientific Social Responsibility

On 6 February 2026, Dr. Ashima Saikia successfully organized an inspiring outreach programme under the ANRF Scientific Social Responsibility initiative (Project No. SPG/2022/000254) at the Department of Geology, University of Delhi. Seventeen enthusiastic girl students and two teachers from Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Timarpur, Delhi were invited for an engaging day of scientific exploration.

The programme featured an exciting exhibition, dynamic and interactive talks by Prof. Shashank Sekar and Dr. Naresh Rana introducing the fascinating world of Geology, and a guided museum visit that brought earth sciences to life aimed at motivating young minds to explore careers in STEM and geosciences.
